1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how JadeQuest Consulting Pvt. Ltd. ("JadeQuest", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the SMP School Management Portal mobile application ("App") on Android or iOS.

The App is a mobile client for authorized school staff and administrators to access the SMP (School Management Portal) platform connected to our backend at https://api.noble-school.in.

By installing or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Who This App Is For

The App is intended only for authorized school employees, teachers, and administrators who have been granted credentials by their school or organization.

• The App is not intended for use by students or children.
• Super Admin accounts are not supported in the mobile App.
• Access is controlled by your school through role-based permissions.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Information You Provide

Account Credentials	Email address and password for login.
Staff Profile	Full name, email, role, profile photo, permissions, and school association.
Student Records	Student name, GR number, UID, grade, gender, admission year, and related school data.
Documents & Photos	Student profile images, PDFs, JPEGs, PNGs, and related metadata.
Operational Data	Academic year selection and audit log entries.

Login credentials and student information are transmitted to and stored on our secure backend servers. We do not sell or use your information for advertising.

3.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Authentication tokens (JWT)
• Session activity and automatic logout timers
• Temporary files created during document preview or download

We do not use third-party advertising SDKs or sell personal information.

3.3 Device Permissions

Permission	Purpose
Internet	Connect to SMP servers.
Camera	Capture student photos and scan documents.
Photo Library (iOS)	Select images from the gallery.
Storage / Files	Select files and save exports within app storage.

The App does not access your microphone. Audio permission is not included in the Android release.

4. How We Use Your Information

• Authenticate authorized users.
• Provide secure access to the SMP platform.
• Manage student records according to user permissions.
• Upload, preview, download, and share documents.
• Maintain audit logs where enabled.
• Protect user sessions using secure authentication.
• Provide customer support.

We do not use your information for targeted advertising, marketing, or unrelated profiling.

5. Student & Children's Privacy

The App may process student education records on behalf of schools using the SMP platform. Processing is limited to authorized staff members with appropriate permissions.

• Schools are responsible for obtaining any legally required parental consent.
• The App is not intended for direct use by children.
• If you believe student information has been accessed improperly, contact your school administrator or email info@jadequest.com.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

IPFS Storage Providers	Store and retrieve authorized documents.
Google ML Kit	On-device document scanning.
Legal Authorities	Where required by applicable law.

When you use the Share feature, documents are shared only through applications that you choose.

7. Data Storage & Security

• HTTPS/TLS encrypted communication.
• Certificate pinning in production builds.
• Encrypted secure storage for authentication tokens.
• App-private storage for downloaded documents.
• Automatic logout after 15 minutes of inactivity.
• Role-based access control.

Although we use reasonable safeguards, no system can guarantee complete security.

8. Data Retention

• Authentication tokens are removed after logout or uninstall.
• Temporary files may be deleted automatically or when app cache is cleared.
• Server-side records are retained according to school policies.

9. Your Rights & Choices

• Access and update your profile through your school administrator.
• Request account deletion through your school.
• Log out at any time.
• Manage device permissions in system settings.

10. International Data Processing

The App is operated from India. Information may be processed in India or other locations where our service providers operate, subject to applicable laws.

11. Third-Party Services

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party applications used through the device share menu.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be reflected by changing the "Last Updated" date on this page. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
